Absolutely loving the book! Nannied in France nearly 40 years ago and still have a “thing” for it, North, South and Countryside. Love the food, the wine and the quality of life. I even get along with the haughty Parisiennes!
Having brought my son up alone in Australia and called him “Guy” you can see I still have great affection for this country. I have been back in U.K. TOO LONG and yes, it is driving me up the wall.
I will have to make my mind up soon, or I will become a perpetual nomad.

I’m sitting out on our terrasse in Sebet Haut, nr Lablachere (nr Les Vans) looking out at a remarkably similar view. I’ve just finished Secret Life and it thoroughly resonated, even as a bloke etc etc. I’m trying to locate this view. Without divulging innermost secrets, where is it?
